Registered Personal Data

In accordance with the provisions of the legislation currently in force on the protection of personal data (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April) and the regulations of the University of Zaragoza, the data provided by you through the website via the relevant forms, as well as emails received requesting information or submitting comments and/or various types of content that are considered personal data, will be included in the corresponding personal data file, unless otherwise specified on the website or in the relevant section.

Simply visiting or viewing content does not entail the registration or processing of personal data, but only the collection of statistical data.

Purpose and Processing of Registered Personal Data
The data obtained through the completion of the relevant forms or by email, as well as data derived from the virtual content received, will be processed using automated decision-making, segmentation, and assessment systems in order to manage responses to such submissions or the processing, publication, dissemination, and archiving of the materials received, or participation in the various forums and services specified in each particular section.

Rights of Data Subjects

Any person has the right to obtain confirmation as to whether the University of Zaragoza is processing their personal data.

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, and portability of your data, as well as the right to restriction of processing and to object to its processing. These rights may be exercised before the Manager of the University of Zaragoza (Paraninfo Building, 1st Floor, Plaza de Basilio Paraíso No. 4, 50005 Zaragoza), clearly stating the grounds for your request and enclosing a copy of an identity document. The request may be submitted in writing, either in paper format or by electronic means.

If you have not obtained satisfaction in exercising your rights, you may contact the University’s Data Protection Officer (dpd@unizar.es), or lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos) using the forms provided by that authority, which are accessible through its website: https://sedeagpd.gob.es

Data Provided by Third Parties

If forms, emails, or materials submitted for subsequent publication on the website or web page contain personal data relating to third parties, the user must expressly accept these Clauses in advance, confirming that they have informed such persons of the matters set out in the preceding paragraphs and declaring that they have obtained their consent, in full compliance with the legislation currently in force.

Security Measures

The University of Zaragoza, as the data controller, declares that it has adopted the legally required levels of security for the protection of personal data and has implemented all standard technical means and measures that are consistent with the current state of technology.

This does not prevent the user from being aware that the security of communications over networks may not be completely invulnerable.

Collection of Statistical Data

The University may generate web statistics in order to obtain information about traffic to its website, the origin of users, the pages they have visited, the duration of their sessions, the sections from which users leave the website, the search terms used in search engines, the browsers used, etc. This information may be used to identify improvements to the structure of the website that increase user satisfaction; however, it does not in any case involve the processing of the personal data provided to us.

Likewise, the University of Zaragoza informs users that its web pages may use cookies to facilitate and personalize users’ navigation of this website. Such cookies do not contain users’ personal information and are used solely to improve the interface. However, users may configure their browser to disable and delete them.
